In a motorway service station not far from Turin, but in the wrong direction
Going back to Bologna from Turin I took the wrong way last Monday. I spent almost one hour to correct the mistake but it was funny; I had never been around those places before!

How many lines one can made while traffic lights stay red? I tryed that on Friday afternoon. Funny!
Later I was at Centro Natura waiting for the end of a judo lesson.
They were waiting too.

Racing car fans know very well this car. Porsche 917's have been clocked at over 387 km/h (240 m.p.h.); it was almost unbeatable in 1970!

Last Sunday in Cremona
Balia Bea and Orco Manno are two among the characters of Melevisione, a children show broadcast from Monday to Friday by Italian Rai Television. Licia Navarrini performes Balia Bea and she is definitely one of the best actress in the show. With Diego Casalis, who effectively performs Orco Manno, she was last Sunday at Cremona fair to delight a crowd of little fans.

Torrita di Siena
On my way home at the end of my last summer holiday I had to stop few hours in a village called Torrita di Siena. The new side of that is ordinary while the old appeared like a Middle Ages ghost village. It was too hot and too little shady to sketch anything so I moved to the edge of it where I found a WWI Memorial in a little park. The park bench was confortable, shadows were fresh, mosquitos were hungry. I had to sketch quickly. Colour was added later. I get to the car just on time to avoid a fine for no parking. I thanked mosquitos.
Minutes later I made this other one.

Talamone - Tuscany
A very fast sketch in a very hot day in a place called Talamone. Here the Tyrrenian sea is absolutely transparent and full of little and medium fishes!

Le Marze Camp
They really didn't know how to fold away their little tent. Fortunately they still had the manufacturer's instructions.

Le Marze Camp.
Le Marze is also the name of a nice camp, not far from Castiglione della Pescaia, where thousand of tents can create a daily changing temporary village. A village made by synthetic or cotton lodging of different dimension and shape placed in the cool shadow of tall pines.

The Camp - Castiglione della Pescaia
Camp was quiet, and shady, and relaxing, under the hundred of maritime pines. A pleasant soundtrack was granted from morning to dusk by thousand of cicadas.

The Camp - Castiglione della Pescaia
Castiglione della Pescaia - This is the best summary about how I spent the last 20 + few more days. Between Castiglione della Pescaia and Marina di Grosseto that place was really lovely, shady, relaxing...

Bologna - 'Giardini Margherita' is the main Park in Bologna especially for those who live in the centre of the city. Beyond the ring-road where the ancient walls have been, it is a favourite place to spend leisure time for students, community from all over the world, and ordinary people. Usually very crowded on July days, in the early morning hours you can meet just few dustmen, joggers, lovers, and the air still fresh.

Bologna - The door on the left is number 43, via Paolo Fabbri.
Via Paolo Fabbri 43 is also the title of a 70's hit, but more than this is the address where Francesco Guccini, the composer and the singer of that and lot of other wonderful, keen, and unforgettable songs, lived. I don't know if he still lives there.
For sure that address will be forever a special one for lot of people.

Turin - Last time I went to Turin, I noticed that something has changed in a roof I sketched last winter. I made a new one! If you like to see the former one, please, click here.

Specchiarica is a nice spot in the south of Italy with a peaceful beach where in July you can spend the whole day reading, or sleeping under the sun, or sleeping under your beach umbrella, or going for a swim, or, of course, sketching, or doing the whole things one after the other with just the blow of the wind or the sound of the sea as sound-track. Wonderful! (Not on Saturday and Sunday.)
